More than 40,000 employees at restaurants across the globe compete for speed, skill and accuracy in three events: the cheese stack race, the QC wrapping race and the potato race. Store-level, regional-level and semifinal competitions take place over six months to determine the eight competitors that eventually vie for supremacy in the finale.
Those eight finalists face the ultimate test: the gauntlet. In front of thousands of their colleagues, these eight gladiators of the grill go head to head in all three events back-to-back-to-back until only one champion remains. The winner of the Five Guys Games takes home the coveted $100,000 grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.
Each event in the Five Guys Games is designed to test skill, speed and acumen. Contestants with the lowest overall times are deemed winners. Teammates compete first on a local level and advance through the bracket until eight contestants compete for the coveted crown.

In this race, competitors must stack one block of cheese, so that every other slice has its corners exposed. The finalized stack of cheese must be wrapped in two pieces of tin foil.

Competitors dress, wrap and ticket an All The Way burger and hot dog. Penalties are assessed for incorrectly dressing a sandwich, missed toppings, improper wrapping and more.

In this test of strength, endurance and precision, contestants must cut an entire 50-pound bag of potatoes as quickly as possible. Partially cut potatoes or potatoes not cut result in penalties.
